What size hole do I drill to mount my adaptor?
Ceramic grills:
We have adaptors to fit all ceramic grills. No drilling is required. Our adaptors will fit into the bottom slide damper of your ceramic grill.
Kettle style grills:
a 7/8” to 1” hole can be drilled at the level of the fire grate. (The grate that the charcoal sits on)
Vertical drum smokers:
Drill a 1 3/8” hole, 1” below the level of the fire grate and use the Large Universal or Bulkhead adaptor.
Offset smokers:
Drill a 1 3/8” hole, 1” below the level of the fire grate and use the Large Universal or Bulkhead adaptor. For large offsets with a firebox of over 18”, two holes and two adaptors are needed.
